CEIIE MOM A L DESTRUCTION. The captain of the American steamer Carib, while conversing with a na.val officer at the German port of Breme'rluiven, was told that the cruiser Karlsruhe struck a reef in the West Indies and became firmly wedged.
The flag was hoisted and saluted by the crew, who then watched the ship being blown up by dynamite while the band played the national anthem.
