Melburne, April 7. Victorian butter is becoming short and greater dilriculty is experienced in obtaining supplies in the northern State*. The trade is turning to New Zealand, and if it is possible to purchase in the Dominion will request the temporary lemission of the threepence dutv.
THE PREMIERS' CONFERENCE. Melbourne. April 7. Messrs Fisher and Massey are corresponding regarding the Premiers' Conference. It is stated that if Mr. Massey accepts the invitation it is probable ti.'e place of conference will be changed from Sydney to Melbourne.
