Despite the warm conditions, the severe drought in some districts', and a considerable reduction in the prize money, thc entries for the Royal Show were highly satisfactory in the live stock sections, though there was some falling off in the agricultural division.

BENEFICIAL RAINS IN AUSTRALIA. Received March 30, 0.50 p.m. Sydney, March HO. Thc long dry spell has broken. Beneficial rains have fallen over the greater part of the State, and still continue.
