SYDNEY TRAINING NOTES.

The storm overnight and rain interfered with the training tracks, which, except the cinder track, were closed. A few horses worked, but the clocks were not used. Tartanus, Sir Alwynnon, Carlita, Mcriwee and Cisco did seven furlongs. Clontaft did strong work. Red Signal and Golden Rock cantered. St. Spasa. Aleconner, Traquette, and Mountain Knight worked steadily. FaunLer did a strong mile and Imshi a strong six furlongs.

ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.

A few showers fell during the night, but the weather was fine for training nt Ellerslie this morning. All the workwas registered outside the course proper, which was heavy after the recent rains. Bedford beat Tangiwai over seven furlongs in lmin 35 l-ssee., Hvgenia covered five furlong9'in lmin 7 l-sscc, Colonel Sotilt was better than Bluestone over the same distance in lmin flsec., Goldsize did a mile from the new post, Redbook finished stronger than Ventura over seven furlongs i n lmin. 33 2-osec, Hoy covered the same distance in lmin 3(isec., Downham was in front of Bon Reve after the same distance, Centre covered five furlongs in lmin 6scc. a good gallop; Tact beat Prnce Soiilt over six furlongs in lmin 22 3-ssec, and Mullingar was better than Ja.-k Delaval over the same distance in lmin 21 I-Ssee.. Merrv Roe. under a strong pull, kept with Castalia for a'mile from the new post i„ lmin. 501-ssec. After breakfast Desert Gold beat Beldame over six furlongs in lmin. 23 l-ssoc.. T«te a Tete was n length in front of Balhoa after seven furlongs in lmin. 37 3-ssoc. Holsingfors covered four furlongs ; n 53 I-ssee., Maui Nina did the fastest gallop of the morning, covering seven furlongs in lmin. 33 3-ssec. and defeating Phosphorus by three, seconds, Ladv Alicia beat Pacific Slope over five furlongs from the now nost in lmin. 8 2-ss;••>., Kitty Bellairs did the same in lmin. 0 2-Sscc, Toreador made a hack of Worcester, covering five furlongs in lmin 9sec.: Soultane and Gold Necklet were together over five furlongs from the new post in lmin. 7 2-sscc. Admiral Sonlt and Handy Breeze were together and a dozen lengths in front •■■' GJoy round Ihe schooling hurdles, fencing well. Black Northern refused to start with the above, hut afterwards did a similar task alone. Prophet did a round of hurdk-s, fencing well. Captain Jack, Nat 1.m.0i, Captain Pino, and Bob did a round of the big country The two fcrmer stopped when Hassan fell.
