ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A CASE Of POISONING.

John Wrightson, second engineer t f the steamer Victoria, on her arrival from the south was suffering from the elieets of poison, and was removed to the hos pilot. His condition is improving.
MOTOR CAR FATALITY. Blenheim,' March 23. Fred Peterson, a chauffeur, was driving a party from Haveloek early on Sunday morning when the car collided with a bridge over Flat Creek. The occupants were thrown into the creek and were not injured. Peterson struck the railing of the bridge and sustained terrible ;n----temal injuries. He was removed to the hospital, where he succumbed this morning. He is a married man, and leaves a wife and child.
WOMAN FOUND DEAD.
„ Dunedin, Last Night. An old woman named Mary Ann Neame, was found dead this afternoon at her residence, 69 York Place. She was last seen alive on Friday afternoon, and it in believed she ?.iad been dead for possibly two days'. It is thought that death was "due to haemorrhage of the stomach. Her husband is at present in hospital.
