HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' MATCH.
The New Plymouth Girls' High School played a match at New Plymouth on Saturday against the Stratford District High School girls, and won by the narrow margin of two points after a keenly contested and enjoyable series of games. In the following details the local players are first mentioned:—
Singles.—P. Heal (! v. B. Eodgers 2; T. Monteath 4 v. P. Wells 6; A. Warren 0 v. E. Leech 3; A. George 3 v. R. Kennedy (1; P. Evans 2 v. M. Leech li; E. Billiard 0 v. I. Boone 5.
Doubles—P. Heal and T. Monteath 7 v. B. Rogers and P. Wells 4; A. Warren and A. George 5 v. E. Leech and H. Kennedy 7; P. Evans and E. Bullard 7 v. M. Leech and I. Boone 5. '
Totals.—Now Plymouth, 40; Stratford, 44.
TIRONGIA v. FRANKLIN PARK.
These clubs met on the Franklin. Park courts on Saturday, in perfect weather conditions. The match resulted in a win for the home team by a narrow margin.
