In the Police Court tp-day 'Bertram Bunii appeared on remand on a charge of attempting to procure abortion. He was further remanded till i Wednesday, the police stating that the principal witness was ill.

THEFT OF A REGISTERED LETTER.

.. Christchurch, March 20, In the Magistrate's Court to-day a youth named Edward Wilspn, charged with the theft of a registered letter from Springfield Post . Office, pleaded guilty and was remanded for sentence.
