KILLED ON A LIFT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland,* March 26. Margery Eveline Dbwcs,' aged '24, daughter of the late A. .33. Dewes, whoso mother Par:iell, was killed instantly this morning.- She was ascending a lift in the Hobson Buildings, the lift being in charge of - Edward Renner, -aged 17. On-reaching the l second flqor Miss Dewes was getting out; and had one foot tin the lift and the other foot on the landing, when die lift suddenly dropped, and she was pinned with her back against the floor. > Some minutes elapsed before she was released. She was then quite dead. ,
A-CYCLIST KILLED.
Dunedin, Last Night, i Jolm Morrison, aged 45 years, was accidentally killed at Palmerston this morning. He'was'riding a bicycle alongside a moving traction engine, which drawing a threshing mill. The bicycle skidded, and he was thrown under the wheels of the mill, receiving fatal in L juries.'
