SWIMMING.

The McAllum Cup contest between East and West End early this week was won by West End, after a good contest. It was a very keen fight, victory being secured by only a small margin. This afternoon the Life Saving Club will hold a practice on the East End beach. At 5.30 several teams will be competing at the Baths for the bronze medallion certificates of the Royal Life Saving Society. Other teams are practising strenuously for the shield roinpetition to be held on Easter Monday.
