SMALL BOY'S SERIOUS ESCAPADE

Word has just readied Westport thai) a lad, named 'Henderson about seien years of age, got into a Wat at Makihmui, let go the painter, and drifted out to sea. A vigorous teareh has been made for three miles along the' shore on either side of the river, buff no sign of tlie boat nor the lad has been found. It is thought possible that' the boat may be seen and picked up by some passing steamer.
