♦ : J FINES FOR STREET BETTING. Bv Telegraph,—Press Association, Napier, March 18. John McKenzie and Charles Morris were fined £3O and £3O respectively for street betting. :;i SUSPICIOUS FIRES. Core, Last Night. ■ Between Thursday and Saturday last twelve oaten stacks, the property of Oeorge Smith, of Norham Park, Perndale, were mysteriously destroyed by file. The insurances are unknown. The police are investigatinng the matter.
