A MOVING MENAGERIE.
EASTER MONDAY ATTRACTION.
Everyone is on the qui vive for the great menagerie procession on Kastcr .Monday at New J»l\moutli. There are to he engaged a camel, a giant frog, a horse, monkey, goose, giantess, Mr and Mrs' Punch 7:2 of the queerest masked men ever seen, Hussars, and lioimcted 'heroes. Tiicso strange creatures will (ill the streets ahead of the. Citizens' Hand. Then will follow the great syringe, and exaggerated coffeepot, spoon, wheel handle, and numerous other laughter-makers. There will he two clowns, a -dummy" and a donkey to assist in the hroad humour. These strange figures formed the central feature in the. great Wanganui Carnival, and only a very small portion lias heen seen here. This is the last occasion on which the grotesques will he exhibited i„ New Plymouth, and already the youngsters have determined to follow that groat procession right into Kawaroa Park, where the carnival will he in progress. Country people should take their railway th-kcts right to Kawaroa P'i..'k. or io New Plymouth station. Tu addition io many usual and unusual carnival attractions, in the park, there will he one long hig laugh at the novelty swimming sports in the municipal haths, entrance to which can he (rained from the ground* direct. The Taranaki Veterans' Association will take part in the procession, and will lie eufortained at luncheon in the heautiful park, which all citizens should lie glad to help. The improvements carried out tW're in the past few weeks honler on the marvellous.
