Mackay's property at IVaiuku , some straw outside of the barn caught fire from ail unknown cause, and the llames were carried into the barn where • the men were at work. Duncan Mackay, a o o j]; and another man were on the scaffold stowing liay, and the flames enveloped the hay so quiclcly that Mackay was unable to escape, and was burned to death. The other man escaped ■with some burns. A BOi DROWNED. Nelson, Last Night. A lad named Harry Hills, 12 years of age, whose parents reside in was drowned at ilotueka to-day.
