OUR HEDP ACKNOWLEDGED, f To the Editor, Sir,-7.Referring to the two shipments of clothing which were despatched from New Plymouth by me in October last, for the benefit of the poor in Britain, I should lie glad if you would kindly give publicity to the following acknow. ledgment of same, which I have received this morning.—I am, etc., C. Dear Sir,—'Prebendary Carlisle desires me to thank you most heartily for your very kind gift of clothes, which will be most useful. You need not be told wo shall be most careful in the distribution of same, and see that only the most deserving poor receive them, We regret the war is affecting us so much, and trust the present, condition of things will soon be at and end. With renewed thanks for your kindly sympathy in our work, for the kindly feeling towards the Old Country, and with pincere gratitude to all those who have in any way helped in sending the clothing,—Believe me, Yours very sincerely, PHILIP PRIOR, Hon.
