At the Addington live stock market on 'Wednesday, there were small entries of fat sheep, and a medium yarding of store sheep, but the attendan e was largest for several weeks past, as the harvest is now practically over. Fat cattle showed a sharp rise and store and fat sheep and fat lambs sold better. Store sheep—Forward 2-tooth -wethers to 20s: ordinary 2 tooth wethers, to 13s; cull 2 tootii wethers, 10s 4d; good 4 tooth half-bred ewes, to 23s fid; good 4 tooth .crossbred ewes, 20s fid to 21s; good two tooth ewes, to 10s 4d; cull two tooth ewes, 12s 10d; good sound mouth ewes to 15s; fairly forward lambs, to 10s 3d; small lambs, 8s to 10s 3d: cull lambs, fls Gd to 7s Od. BURNSIDE. Dunedin, March 3. At Bunisidc to-day only 130 head of cattle were yarded. There were not ina.iv good bullocks forward, the yarding consisting of a good proportion of cows and heifers. Freezing buyers were not operating, hut owing to short supply there was good competition by butchers though the demand eased oil' towards the end of the sale. Prices were about las a head above those ruling last week.

Fat cattle. —Best bullocks, £l4 to £ls; medium to good, £ll to £l3; light, £1) 10s to £lO 10s; best cows and heifers, £lO to £ll 10s; extra, to £lf; medium to good, £8 to £!); others, £0 to £7 10s.

Fat sheep.—There was a fairsizeJ i yarding, '2585 being penned, but not many prime sheep came forward. Freezing buyers were operating, but on slightly reduced limits. Owing to the decision of the Imperial Governmentregarding the export of meat, prices were about Is per head below yiose ruling last week, but medium quality ewes showed a drop of Is 6d to 2s per head, l'rime wethers, 24s to 265; extra, to 31s; medium, 22s to 235; light,. 18s to 19s; prime ewes, 21s to 235; extra to 27s fid; medium, 17s Cd to 19s; light, to 15s.

Fat lambs.—There was a small yarding, 700 being penned. The entry" contained a large proportion of medium quality. Prices generallly were much the same as last week. Good lambs met with fairly keen competition, but medium anil unfinished were dull of sale. Good, 17s to 19s; extra, to 22s Od; medium, 15s to 16s; unfinished to 14s 6d. Pigs.—Seventy-four fats and 40 stores were penned. Fat pigs were slightly easier, and stores sold much the same as at last sale. MATTHEWS, GAMLIN & CO'S | REPORT. On Monday last we held a clearing sale on Account of Mr. Horner, whose lease had expired, of the whole of his live and dead stock at very satisfactory prices. iWc quote:—Cows, in full milk, which were in rather poor condition, from £4 15s to £7; others, £3 12s Od to £4 12s Od; 18 to 20-month heifers, in calf, £3 12s; weaner heifers, 265; horses, £5 to £5 12s 6d; and sundries at very satisfactory prices. Oil Wednesday last we held our usual weekly sale at our Inglewood yards, and had a good yarding of stock, and most lines were disposed of at the hammer. We quote:—Fat and forward cows, £5 15s to £8 2s 6d; good store cows, £4 3g to £5 12s 6d; others, small and old, £2 Is to £3 17s; springing heifers, £4 17s 6d to £5 ss; 18-month steers, £3 Is to £.3 7s; steers, £4 10s to £5 12s Cd; hulls,' £4 to £7 12s 6d; weaner steers'; 21s to 345; heifers. 12s to 255; lambs, !)s to lis 4d; store ewes, 10s 5d to lis Id; fat ewes, 17s sd.

At Tarata on Thursday last we held our supplementary sheep fair in our Tarata yards, and had a very big yard-' ing of sheep and cattle, every pen being well filled, the yarding exceeding all expectations, and we had a good clearance of all sheep yarded except two liens of lambs at very satisfactory prices. We quote:—F.m. ewes, fls to 16s 7d; fat and forward ewes, 17s to 17s 7d; cull ewes, Gs to 0s; 2-tootli ewes, 12s to 15s 7(1; 2-tooth wethers, 15s to 16 s 3d; good lambs, !)s to 13s; others, 4s (id to 8s lOd; good Romncy rams, 2 to -Vz gns.; others, 10s to 30s; bulls', £7 10s to £9 10s; fat and forward cows, £5 to £G 17s: cows and calves, £2 12s Od to £2 14s 6d; 18-montli steers £3 3s.
