MEETING AT TTMARU. Timaru, March 4. There was a largely-attended meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Hm■'re Press Union. The balauce-slicet ■■'•owed a balance of £Cw 12s Od to cre"t, and with the annual report was ; asscd, on the motion of Mr. IT. Horton. it was decided to forward a recommendation to the council of the union in London to devote £SO out of New Zealand's contribution to relief funds to aid distressed newspaper 'proprietors and journalists in France and Belgium. Seven new associates were elected. The chairmail, Mr. G. Fenwlck. aiul the present executive were re-elected.
