It is the most extensive seizure ever made in the police annals. Sixteen rooms were filled with a marvellous collection of rare gold, silver and bronze ornaments, beautiful china and pictures, including several by Reynolds. The arrest of three men for stealing plate at Kennington led to the discovery. The occupier of the house was engaged in the muffin buaij,nesa.
