FIRE BRIGADES.
THE ACCIDENT ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timani, Last Night. The Fire Brigades' delegates this morning dealt with the business of tlm Accident Assurance Association. The number of brigades now afliliated is f)(i, I with 1583 members, a decrease of 14f>. Since the close of the year three other brigades have joined. Revenue for tli«> year was £12!) 14s 3d, a decrease of €l4, Total payments for accidents were .€'2ls 12s fid .and the accumulated funds Clflfifi, an increase of .CIS odd. The executive recommended the same scale of rebates as last year. Officers were elected as follow:—President, Mr. Urldich (Gisborne) , vicepresidents. Messrs. 0. Goodwin (Akaroa) mid T. ft. ftrubb (Stratford); secretary, Mr. Watts; treasurer, Mr. Osborne; auditor, Mr. Eraser. In the afternoon the firemen held sports on the bay, and a party visited the Timaru reservoir.
The next conference will ho held at Westport.
