HIGH REPORT. Wellington, Yesterday. The High Commissioner reports, under date London, February 15 (5.25 p.m.):— Paris reports that in Belgium the Allies captured 200 metres of trenches established on the road from Betliune to La Bassee. In Lorraine the enemy, after repelling the French vanguard, occupied Xo,i beacon and Norroy hamlet. The enemy was repulsed by a counterattack on the north slopes of the beacon, where some trenches are still held. French ski-men executed a very brilliant running attack on the slopes of Lsingcfeld Kopff. Wellington, Last Night. , The Premier has, received the following from the High Commissioner, dated London, February Kith, at 5.30 a.m.: Petrogi-a.d reports further action on the Niemen.A'istula front. In the Carpathians the Russians repulsed persistent Austrian attacks, 'south-west of Kukla pass. We slightly progressed on the left hank of the Upper San, capturing a ihousand prsoners. A Genua,, attach between lieskid and Wyszkow passes was repulsed with great :osse« by the enemy, who were dislodged from a fortified position.' Considerable Austrian forces are advancing on Madworna, and in Bukovina.
