TARANAKI SHOW.

Exhibitors are reminded that entries for Taranaki's metropolitan fixture close on Saturday, 13th inst. Numerous entries have already been received, and include sonio of the best-known exhibitors in the Dominion. Very large fields are expected in the competition and entries for this section have already been received from all parts of the North Island, including a number from Hastings. Great interest is. being taken in the dog section, which should be afeature of the show, as all the best breeders and dog fanciers'will be represented. The new class introduced for semiofficially tested cows should be an excellent -move on the part of the society, as it will give the public" an opportunity of seeing at the show all the best producers. The following ar s e the conditions for this class, for which entries close on Tuesday,. 16th February:— Semi-officially tested Jersey cow: For cows .of any age that have secured a semi-official certificate; to be judged on the Jersey standard; age of animal and date of last calving to.be taken Into, consideration by the judge. Prizes: First 5 guineas, second 4 guineas, third 3 guineas, fourth 2 guineas, fifth 1 guinea. Entry, 10s. Note.—The prizes may be still further increased at foregoing ratio. Don't forget that entries close on Saturday, 13th inst.
