The death is announced from Sydney of Mr Joseph Bennett, formerly associated with the Auckland Stud Company.
A London message states that Count de Lalaing, the Belgian Ambassador in England, has (resigned, owing to illlealth.
Mr F. C'arrington, of tile New Plymouth Lands and Survey Department is acting as chief draughtsman at the Napier office.
Mr. W. 11. Cocker, son of the Key. J. Cocker, of Christchurch, has b-'en appointed associate to His Honor the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout.
News lias been received in Masterton of the death in Auckland of Mrs. R. XJ. Galloway, one of the early residents of Masterton, and mother of Mrs. R. A.
