Received 0, ]*2,5 a.m. Sydney, February 8., An official statement is still not forthoming regarding tile embargo on American's wool buying, with the result that they are refraining from bidding. At to-day's sales Merinos were irregular, and in many instances high class lots dropped from 5 to 7'/n per cent., though one parcel touched ~15.}d. Other classes showed little change, crossbreds being firmer.
