GISBORNE SUMMER MEETING. CONCLUDING DAY'S RACES. Gisbonie, Last Night.

The Gisborne Racing Club's summer meeting concluded on Saturday in splendid weather. The totalisatur handled .U4,9HS for the day, making a total for the meeting of £28,723, compared with £22,070 last year. Results:—

SECOND HURDLES, of 120 sovs. One 'and a half miles.— 2 Bravest, 10.10 (McMillan), 1; 3 Ambergris, 2; 1 Chatmos, 3. Also ran: 4 Multiano. Chatmos and Multiano fell, but the former completed tho course. Time, 3mi n 21 l-ssec.

MAIDEN SCURRY, of 100 sovs. Five furlongs— 5 King of Athol, 8.0 (Price), 1; 2 To Araroa, 2; 1 Potentiality, 3. Also ran: 3 Ralstonc, 4 True Gun, 7 Ornioloid, 8 Lady Cook, 0 Maryland. Won by half a length. Time, limn 2 l-ssec.

TARUHERU HACK HANDICAP, of 100 sovs. One mile.—2 Perhaps, 8.7 (Ryan), 1; 1 Multikoff, 2; 3 The Summit, 3. Also ran: 4 Munje, 5 Dasher Boy. Won by a length, a neck between second and third. Time, lmin 43 l-ssec.

SECOND WELTER, of 120 sovs. Seven furlongs.—4 Glouria, 8.5, 1; 3 Master Timi, 2; 5 Caher Davon, 3. Also started: 2 Lord Possible, 7 Smilax, 0 Rock Ferry, 1 Rigo Park. Won by a length, third horse beaten by a head. Time, lmin 30sec.

RACING CLUB HANDICAP, of 250 sovs. On e mile. —4 Multiply, 8.7 (Deeley), 1; 2 Despatch Carrier, 2; 3 Lady Alicia, 3. Also ran: 1 Iliad's Hero. Won by a length, a head separating second and third. Time, lmin 1 3-ssec. As the result of a protest by Lady Alicia against Despatch Carrier for alleged interference, the stewards exonerated Despatch Carrier but "distanced" Multiply and awarded the, race as follows: Despatch Carrier, 1; Lady Alicia, 2; Iliad's Hero, 3. Jones, trainer of Multiply, was severely captioned. An appeal is likely, but the machine paid out on Despatch Carrier.

ELECTRIC HANDICAP, of 150 sovs. Five furlongs.— 1 Multiplicity, 7.9 (Deeley), 1; 1 Ruapani, 2; 3.Watchful, 3. Also ran: Gaycium, 5 Lady Oldwyn. Won by a length, half a length between second and third.

AWAPUNI HANDICAP, of 100 sovs. Six furlongs. 1 Multiplication, 9.0 (Deeley), 1; 2 Rupahu. 2; 8 Carburetter, 3. Also ran: 3 Multifual, 4-Brunswick, 10 Hymen, 9 Grand Idea, 5 Nightshade, 0 Lady Teazle, 7 Anxious. Won easily by a length, the same between second and third. Time, lmin 15 l-ssec.

MIDSUMMER HANDICAP, of 400 sovs. One mile and a half.—s Specialform, n.O (R. Berry), 1; 2 United Service, 2; 1 Don Francisco, 3. Also ran: 3 Honesty, 0 Ladrone, 7 Gold Coin, 4 Koumania. Tn a fine finish the topweight prevailed by a good neck, Don Francisco was three lengths awav, followed at similar intervals by Gold Coin and Ladrone. Time, 2min 30sec.
