RIFLE SHOOTING.
TARANAKI ASSOCIATION MEETING. Very large entries have been received for the annual meeting of the Taranaki Rifle Association, which will open this morning at the Rewa Rewa range, Waiwakaiho, and will continue to-mor-row, and the quality, too, is excellent. Sime 95 entries have already been received, the principal clubs represented being: Ni-w Plymouth Defence Rifle 18, Patea 10, Stratford 8, Kaponga 7, Ohura 0, JWavorlcjy fi'„ Inglewood C, Whangamcmoni 6, Eltham 5, Wellington Suburbs 5. All the other Taranaki clubs have representatives, and competitors are present from' Karori, Wanganui, Bulls, Fcilding, and other clubs. The High School cadet 3 are represented by thr<>e from Now Plymouth and or.e from Wanganni. The Territorials 'are poorly represented. In the team's match, it is expected that there will be twelve entries, and Ohura haa three Lovedays and Williams in their team. Many of the competitors arrived early yesterday, and indulged in practice, among those on the range being last year's champion H. H. Gilshnan, and the runner-up, L. Lovcday. Shooting will commence at T. 30 a.m. sharp.
