As the outcome of the newsvendors' strike, which is still in progress, tho Commodities Commission has asked the proprietors of the evening papers to show cause for increasing the price of papers to 9d a dozen. NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN. London, February 1. New South Wales is issuing two million 41 per cent, debentures, repayable in March, 1920. The loan has been underwritten. The debentures mature | on March 1, and investors are invited to convert into an equal amount of new debentures, receiving 10s per cent. cash. The amount unconverted will be offered to the public. The Final instalment of 94J per cent. IB payable on February 26, and half a year's interest is payable on September 1.
