VINEGAR ESSENCE. By Telegraph —Per Press Association. ( Christchurch, January 30. [ In the S.M. Court George Bonnington, [ chemist, was charged with selling vineI'.gar essence, made from acetic acid and |, caramel, without having it described as |, imitation vinegar. He was also cliargI, ed. with selling food colored with caramel. He was convicted without a fine in both cases. The prosecution said the , addition of caramel made vinegar mis- , takable for the real article by a purchaser. EDUCATING THE WORKER. Wellington, January 30. The .Minister of Education lias sent the following telegram to Mr. Meredith Atkinson, who is at present touring the Dominion in connection with the Workers' Education Association: —'1 am looking forward with much pleasure to meeting you.
