Everything points to record entries being received for the Xaranaki liille Association's annual meeting, which opens on the liewa Rewa range on •Thursday, and " ill continue on J'Yiday. i Already the secretary, Mr. l'\ J. llill, | has received 71 entries, and many others are known to be on the way, so that by the' time all have been received it is anticipated that they will easily exceed a hundred. Enthusiasts can look forward to some line- shooting, for the abandonment of the Trentham meeting has caused very many of tiie crack shots of the Dominion to enter here, and as they will be pitted against the best shots in Taranaki, the results should be awaited with interest. The presence ol outside teams in the teams' matches should also give added interest to these. Outside competitors include: Eight from Wellington suburbs; also Karori, Opaki, "Wanganui, Bulls, Ohura, Waverley (6), Patea (»), Kaponga (ti), Eltham (6). Practically every club in Taranaivi lias representatives, and the majority will enter teams of live men. Among individual shots may be mentioned the two Lovedays, Williams, Hunt, from i outside; and Roots, Carey, Guy, Gilsh- ' nan, as well as other leading Taranaki 1 shots. The committee and its energetic ! secretary is making arrangements to : cope with a record entry.
