Victoria, in their first innings, made 179 (Cody 35, Matthews 32, Carkcek not out 71, Armstrong SG). SOUTH TARAXAIU GAMES. At Manaia on Wednesday, Okaiawa defeated the local team by 170 runs to 80. For the winners, Ongley scored 70, Penfold 35, and R. Penny 21. McLeod, for Manaia, was most successful with the ball, and also with the bat, scoring 12. Preo (11) and byes (10) were the only other double-figure scorers. R. Penny took seven wickets for 24 runs. At Hawera, Hawera A defeated Hawera B by ISO runs to 72.
