IK aiw spots, and its people are greatly hiuebte.l to the Tourist and Expanjiou League for 'bringing to notice the many places of interest to Holiday makers. Few realised, however, tiiat there is in e.'OjC proximity to the town a snot of such unique beauty as that where the ' Methodists held their picnic yesterday. The completion of the Poralto road, wliicli links up Vogeltown and Frankley 'Park, has made accessible the beautiful 'tush on Mr Saxton's property, and yesterday's nicniekers were delighted. That the children enjoyed t'liwu'selvaa goes without saying, and the beautiful little river that meanders through the bush was a 'surprise and a great attraction. Mr N. Allen, of Franldeigh Park, had thoughtfully erected a tent and provided a plentiful supply of bathing costumes, and the children enjoyed to ; the full th o cooling water. In addition I to the usual sports enjoyed at these I gatherings, the "hidden treasure hunt" I proved most exciting. I
