ALLEGED SHEEP-STEALING.
FARMER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. Timaru, Last Night. At Fairlie to-day Robert Guthrie, a well-known sheep-farmer, of Mount NesBing, Albury, was committed for trial on three charges of sheep-stealing on or about December 24th. Inspection of the ' sheep disclosed that tile 43 sheep claimed had been shorn, branded, and the earmarks altered. Accused pleaded not 1 guilty.
