INVALIDED VOLUNTEERS. Auckland, Yesterday. The troopship Athenic arrived this morning. She left Alexandria on December 17, and came direct. She brings fifty-eight non-commissioners officers and men from all parts of the force, a portion invalided, some defaulters, and some who refused to be inoculated against typhoid. Wellington, January 22. The following returned by the Athenic —Sergt. Neville; Corporal Eddy; Lancecorporal C. Holdcroft; Gunners Pearson, Minohall, Barman, Shore, Eraser, M'Donnell, Mayer, Shore, Mayer, and Finney; Drivers Thompson and Muller; Troopers Bolwer, Donaldson, Knight, and Baxter; Privates Bartlett, Parkes, Reid, Abbott, Woodcock, Foster, Wilkinson, O'Hara, Graham, Ward, Smith, Cruickshank, Carter (2), Gill, Twogood, i Rooney, Stokes, James, Lippiatt, Hulme, 'Manning, Forbes, Harrison, Howat, ißrennan, Holford, Holland, Wallace, Chidley, Wykes, Oldham, Scoullar, Austin, Gray, Abel, Hebberley, Henderson, ( »nd Fleetwood.

Auckland, Last Night.

Some hours after her arrival the Athenie was floated into Calliope Dock, whereupon Major J. E. Barton, of tihe district staff, came aboard and took charge of the men. The invalided volunteers, if sufficiently recovered, will rejoin the reinforcements, or, if not, will be sent to their homes.

Following is a list of the sick: Troopers C. B. Bowler, 0. L. Knight, and F. L. Baxter; Gunners B. Pearson, P. A. Minshall, W. J. Barman; Driver E, H. Shore; Private 0. C. A. Bartlett, F. L. Parkes, W. L. Reid, S Abbott, P. T. Woodcock, C. Foster.

The remainder will be discharged at Auckland, the authorities taking no further responsibility for them.
