CONTROL OF SAMOA.

THE PREMIER EXPLAINS. By Telegraph.---Per Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. "An impi-ession seems to be abroad," said the Premier to a Post representative to-day, "that we control Samoa and iSamoan affairs. As a matter of fact Samoa is under Imperial control and Colonel Logan is an Imperial officer. Instructions are conveyed through tile Governor, but except in rendering assistance to the Imperial Government when asked to do so, the New Zealand Government has really no control over Samoan affairs whatever."
