Auckland, iLast Night. , When answering a call to Parnell ton day, the Firo Brigade's latest motai} tender skidded on the wet surface of tBB Grafton bridge, and commenced a wiM career, during which if bumped bo® the right and left hand balustrades and Jliurli'd several firemen from their seats. The accident was caused by the rain, the bridge surface being as slippery aa glass. When the motor was checked it , stood at right angles to tlio bridga roadway. One fireman lay tineonseiouti near the kerbing, but moat of the othew had regained their feet. Foreman Warl- - received an ugly scalp wound; Fires man M&cDonald, bruises and sHookip a'-d Fireman Mackay was rendered unc scious bv <• blow on the head. The extent of the damage to the motor is not yet known.
