A GIFT OF OILSKINS. , '£ By Telegraph—'Per Press Association,; Wellington, Laet Night. \ Lady Liverpool makes the following appeal to the public: —"I have been told that some extra oilskins will be greatly, appreciated on H.M.S. New Zealand at this strenuous time. I feel, perhaps, that 1 some of those people who retain pleasant recollections of the visit of H.M.S. New Zealand to these waters, and of happy hours spent on hoard her, may like to help, ami the oilskins would be sent aa New Year gifts. J propose, therefore, to start a collection in half-crowns, so that all who want may help. lAhout sij; half-crowns will buy one oilsin. I will acknowledge all contributions sent to me, and on January 23rd the list wU|! be closed and the money cabled to Captain Halsey.
