BREAD IN SYMPATHY. ' By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Timaru, last Night. The Timaru bakers to-day received notice from the millers that the price of flour is to be increased by £-2 or £3 a ton, it being uncertain which till the Government proclamation has been issued. The present price is £l3, and the bakers are anticipating it will rise to £l6, with the assurance of an immediate increase in bread from Sd and 4d to 0V 2 (l and 5d for 41b. and 21b. loaves, cash only. They state that, with flour at £l3, there is no profit on bread at Sd and 4d.
