Subject to necessary alterations, mails will close at the Chief Post Office as under:— For Auckland and North per steamer, Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday, at 7 p.m.; and daily, per train, at 6.15 p.m. For Wellington and South, daily, at 6.15 a.m., and 12.20 p.m. For Wanganui and intermediate offices, daily, at <5.15 a.m. 12.20 p.m., and 3.55 p.m. THURSDAY. JANUARY 7. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, East Indies, Straits Settlements, Eastern and Mediterranean posts; also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe for specially addressed correspondence "via Suez" only, at 12.20 p.m. Due London February 17 (money-orders close 11 ajn.). SATURDAY, JANUARY 9. , For Australian States, South Africa, China, East Indies and Straits Settle- . ments, via Auckland, at 7 p.m. I For Fiji, per s.s. Narua, from Auck- ( land, at 7 p.m. The times for closing mails for places beyond the Dominion are liable to alteration (earlier or later).
