Subject to necessary alterations, mails will close at the Chief Post Office as under:— For Auckland and North per steamer, Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday, at 7 p.m.; and daily, per train, at 6.15 p.m. For Wellington and South, daily, at 6.15 a.m., and 12.20 p.m. For Wanganui and intermediate offices, daily, at 6.15 a.m. 12.'20 p.m., and 3.55 p.m. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, British, French and Dutch Guiana, United States of Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, West Indies, Central America, United States of America and Canada, via San Francisco; also Tahiti and Raratonga, at 12.20 p.m. Due London, February 7. (Money-orders close 4 p.m., Tuesday for United States of America and Canada).
THURSDAY, JANUARY 7. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, East Indies, Straits Settlements, Eastern and Mediterranean posts; also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe for specially addressed correspondence "via Suez" only, at 12.20 p.m. Duo London February 17 (money-orders close II a.m.). SATURDAY, JANUARY 0. For Australian StUes, South Africa, China, East Indies and Straits Settlements, Yia Auckland, at 7 p.m. For Fiji, per s.s. Navua, from Auckland, at 7 p.m. The times for closing mails for places beyond the Dominion are liable to alteration (earlier or later).
