An Indian medical corps of 150 lias arrived at Alexandria, and the Eamleli Casino has been transformed into an Indian hospital. Rome, December 31. The Tribuna's correspondent states that, contrary to German reports, perfect calm prevails in Egypt and the Soudan. The "holy war" found no echo. Turkish attack via Sinai is beyond the bounds of possibility, and Egypt is safe from invasion from any side. AUSTRALIANS REVIEWED. "GET FIT, AND KEEP FIT." Received 1, 7.3 p.m. Cairo, December 31. Sir George Reid took the salute of the Australians, and said: "Lord Kitchener will send you to the front, directly you are lit. It is your duty to get fit. and keep It." Sir George Reid will visit Upper Egypt, and will start for London on 11th January.
