It is stated that the result of the magisterial recount of the Ilawke's Bay contest voting, which commenced today, will not be known for .six or seven days. Six scrutineers are engaged, but. more will be appointed to expedite the work of making a close scrutiny of the rolls. The scrutineers are pledged to secrecy, and there will be no progress reports.
