CANVASS TO BE RESUMED. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Taihape, Yesterday. Ail enthusiastic meeting of shareholders in the Taihape Freezing Company unanimously decided to resume the canvass for shares, which was suspended at the outbreak of the war. There are 280 £5 shares allotted, and 720 more are required to be taken up before the company can be floated. Of these 450 were taken in the room, and it is hoped to place the remainder by Christmas, in which case tenders will be called for the_ erection of freezing works to cost £33,000 on a site of 82 acres at Winiata, purchased for £2870. It is reported that Major Norton recommended the Bristol Company to assist the project with a debenture of £20,000 and that it was more than likely the company would act on the recommendation.
