Subject to necessary alterations, mails will' close at the chief Post Office as under: — THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, East Indies, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, at 12.20 p.m. (Correspondence for United Kingdom ai\d Continent of Saropo must be especially addressed, "via Suez"). Due London January is. (Money Orders close 10th inst.) SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12. For Fiji, via Auckland, a.t 6.15 a.m. For Australian States, South Africa, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, Tia Auckland, at 6.15 a.m. For Tasmania, via Wellington, at 12.20 p.m. The timos for closing mails for places beyond tho Dominion are liable to altration (earlier or later). Unless otherwise specified, money-or-ders, registered letters, and parcel post parcels, close one hour before the ordinary mail. C. H. BURTON, Chief Postmaster.
