A SINGULAR CASE. By Telegraph,—Per Press Association. ' Hamilton, Last Night. , The case in -which William (/'Captain") McLeod, the Wild West showman, is charged with causing Leslie Wilson ,: actual bodily harm, camo before the ' Hamilton Supreme Court to-4ay. The care was that in which McLeod, while practising sharpshooting, essayed, with' Wilson's permission to remove the ash' ■' from a cigarette which Wilson ' waa smoking. The bullet entered cheek. The jury found that Wilson moved his head when the shot was flret Judge Cooper then heard legal argument as to whether the admitted facte constituted an ofrence under the law. Filially, in reserving his deciaion, Hit I Hqnor said the case was most interest- ' ing. It was the first time in the history : V, of English law that the Supreme Court ■s- - been called upon to decide such a> •' s a case. He would have to consult his J brother judges. McLeod was admitted H to bail in his own recognisances of £6O. "- ,■';
