INGLEWOOD NEWS.
The Senior Cadets held a dance oh Thursday night, in aid of the Patriotic Funds. The boys deserve credit for the manner in which they conducted their function,-and they were certainly deserving of more support than they received. lAs it was, they just paid expenses, and it is their intention to hold another some time during the holidays. During my travels round the country this last two or three months I was much impressed with the fa'ct that there was no part where the grass looked greener or the crops better than in North Taranaki. Our farmers have very little to complain- of, especially this season. The general election is now close at hand, and after Mr. Iline has spoken tonight the Inglewood public will have heard'four aspirants for political honors, Most of the Inglewood public have made up their minds how they are going to vote on Thursday next, and the consensus of opinion appears to be that the member for Stratford is going to have a tighter run than at last election, while Mr. Okcy may hold bis own here.
