THE EGMONT SEAT. (Contributed.) Mr Wilkinson, Reform candidate for Egmont, has just completed a most successful tour round the Coast.. He lias had splendid hearings at the whole of his. meetings, votes of thanks and confidence being the order of the day. At his meeting at Oaonui lie was specially thanked for his services 011 behalf of the est Coast lessees, and also for his work in Parliament. Special reference was made on many occasions to the fact that Mr Wilkinson ha'd proved.himself a live and able representative and that more had been done in the way of pushing the Kgiaont electorate during the past 21 years than had previously been done for many years.

.. .. -'kingahume, which place gave Mr A\ ilkiuson a phenomenal majority at the bye-election, two ladies moved and seconded a vote of thanks with confidence and cheers for the candidate. When the chairman was putting the- motion it was suggested that the cheers must not bo overlooked and immediately the lady proposer of the resolution led the meeting with hearty cheers.

At Tiahotu, an attempt was made by two prominent supporters of the Opposition to interfere with tin? candidate's speech. Mr Wilkinson was complimented by many on both sides for tile tactfulness with wiiich lie handled the meeting and for the vigour of his address. #f meetings go for anything certainly the Reform candidate can look forward to the 10th with pleasureable anticipation Mr Wilkinson addressed the electors at I Mama on Friday evening; owin" to the rough night there was only a moderate attendance. The address was in the main on the lines of speeches previously reported. At the conclusion a vot of thanks am! confidence was moved hv Mr L Campbell, and seconded by .Mr \\. Lambie, both mover and seconder speaking in complimentary terms of Mr 'Wilkinson as a Parliamentary representative. The motion was. carried'unanimously.
