FIRES.
FREEZING WORKS DAMAGED. By Telegraph—Per Press Association. Napier, December 4. A fire broke out shortly before midnight in the office of the North British Freezing Works. The breeze fanned the flames, which spread to the cooler, but the'brigade checked the fire there after considerable damage had been done. The insurances are: Atlas £7BOO, London and Lancashire £30,060. The loss, provided the insulating cooler is not damaged, will be covered by £4OO.
