ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PLATELAYERS IXJURED. ' By Telegraph,—Per Press Association. Wellington, December 2. _ While engaged in platelaying operations at Thorndon railway yards two men met with a serious accident. Herbert Caslmiore, a married man, residing at Pctone, sustained a compound comminuted fracture of both legs, and Patrick Bain had his right get cut off below the knee. A wheel also passed over his left leg.
