A HISBAND'S SUICIDE. j By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. ! . Auckland, December 1. | Iho tticijict on Alban George Gaudin, woo, en November 14, shot his wife, and then committed suicide, was resumed to-day. Mrs Gaudin in her evidence said that for three years she and her ; husband had lived unhappily, conse- '■ quentiy she decided to leave him. She returned, taking her child with her, to get mump clothing. She ■ rang the doorbell, and explained to her husband what ?<»« : d , oome for - Her husband said, r, « ht - Come ini" She was collecting the clothing, and whistling as slis did so, but could not say why she was whistling. She asked her husband if some wrapping-paper slit wanted was of any to him. Ife didn't answer, but fired seven shots at her. One went through her hand, one through her arm, and a third entered her body just below her heart. ..She ran out of the houK, s?!earning. Other evidence was ,to tho efleet that Gnuciin was found 1 dead ill a doorway, in a pool of blood, with a revolver in his right hand. The Coroner leturned a verdict of suicide.
