SUICIDE IN A HOTEL. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Auckland, -Last Night. The. inquctet 'held to-day into the circumstances of tlhe death of Percy Mason, laborer, of Tokomaru Bay. who was found shot through the head in u loom o£ the Imperial Hotel on Sunday morning. Deceased was a man forty years of age, well supplied with money, hilt of an absent-minded and taciturn disposition. He lhad been ten days in the city, and tlio loss of a -dog which lie had brought wiffli him seemed to worry him. The report of a revolver heard on Sunday morning • alarmed the hotel inmates, and Mascju was found in his room dead. His bed had not been slept in. The coroner resumed a verdict of suicide.
