WELLINGTON RESULTS. Wellington, November 29. The weather was fine and the wickets in good or do i' on Saturday, when senior grade cricketers commenced the third matches of the series. East batted all afternoon against Old Boys, and knocked up 464. Midlane made 171 (his second century of the season), and Baker 112, tiie partnership producing 206, which is only 15 below the local record, made about 20 years ago. The other chfef scores were: Hughes 60, Hickey 26 not out. The Hughes-Jlid-lane partnership produced 100. Bowling for East, Tucker took seven wickets for 105. Batting against University North made 430 for nine wickets and declared. Wilson 165, Hiddleston 115, Bray 32, Harris 30, Eaton 26, Walter 23 not out. Dickson took four wickets for 97.
Central met Petone, and made 133 in their first innings (Dind 34 not out). Petone responded with 100, and in the second innings Central made '26 runs without the loss of a wicket. For Petone, Barker took three wickets for 29, and Findlayson 3 for 28. For Central, Robertson took six for 32.
