HITZROY v. WAITARA. rvT.7" Two rmks of Fitzroy bowlers visited Waitara on Saturday to play against the local club. The green was by no means perfect, the grass being dense, and play heavy, the bowls getting little bias. As the afternoon sun gradually dried the green, it considerably altered playing conditions, with the result that the visitors were defeated by 55 to 46, the major points being added at the latter stages of the game. The following are the results, Fitzroy being mentioned first: —Hill, Weller, Hartnell (a) 21 v. E. George, Young, 1 Canton, Pnlford (s) 29.

Hopkins, Sole, Evison, Higgs (s) 25 v. Foreman, Knuckey, Andrew, Wyllie (s) 28. The visitors were most hospitably entertained by the ladies. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. I Marriott and Waugh f3) played their handicap singles match on Saturday, the former winning by 25 to 14.
